How long have you worked here, Somin?

2014년부터요. 올해가 4년째에요.

Since 2014. This is my fourth year (working here).

= This is for four years. 

= Almost four years.

그렇군요. 결혼은 하셨어요?

I see. Are you get married?

아니요. 결혼은 생각해본 적이 없어요.

No, I haven't thought about getting married.

= I'm not ready.

= Yet.

= It's too early to think about that.

= I'm happy being single.

= The time hasn't come.

지금은 제 일에만 전념하고 싶어요.

I want to focus on my work for now.

cf) I wanna focus on raising my kids for now.

-> for now 당분간, by now 지금 쯤이면/지금 이시간이면 ex) She should be here by now.

= I'm busy with work.

= I'm focusing on my work/career.

그러시구나.... 그게 요즘 추세인 것 같아요.

I see. That seems to be a trend nowadays.

ex) catch up 오랜만에 만나 이야기를 나누는 것

ex) put off

     Let's put off our meeting. 회의를 연기하자.

     Many people put off their marriage these days.

준 과장님은 어떠세요? 별일 없으시죠?

How about you, June? Is everything okay (with you)?

잘 지내고 있어요/그럭저럭이요.

(There is) Nothing to complain about.

= I'm doing okay/all right.

= Everything is okay/going great.

= Things are going well.

= I'm doing well.(O) ↔ I'm going well.(X)

-> Nothing to complain만으로 쓸 수 없다. 뒤에 something이 나와야 한다.

과장님은 아들이랑 딸이 있으시죠, 맞죠?

You have a son and daughter, right?

네, 아들은 3학년이고 딸은 유치원 다녀요.

Yes, My son is in third grade and my daughter is in kindergarten.

ex) 10th grade 10학년

-> preschool→kindergarten

아드님이 벌써 3학년이에요? 세월 빠르네요.

Your son is already a third grader? Time flies.

어느 부서에서 일하세요?

What/Which department are you working with?

-> What은 여러 개중 하나, Which는 둘 중 하나로 알고 있지만 모두 구분없이 사용가능하다.

-> work for은 그 팀을 위해서 일하는 느낌이고 with는 함께 일하는 의미로 느낌이 살짝 다르다.

= What department do you work?

= What area do you work in?

= What is your role?

= What are you in charge of?

저는 마케팅팀에서 일하고 있어요.

I'm working with the Marketing team.

= I do marketing.

= I do sales.

수민 과장님 회사에서는 화장품을 만들죠, 그렇죠?

Your company makes cosmetics, right?

맞아요. 어 그리고 또 건강보조식품도 팔아요.

We do and we also sell health supplements.

어떤 건겅보조식품이요?

What kind of health supplements?

어디 사세요?

Where do you live?

cf) Where are you living now? 종암동, 서교동, 시흥동 등 살았을 경우 지금은 어디 살아라고 물을 때 사용할 수도 있다.

전에는 일산에 사셨던 걸로 기억하는데요.

I remember you used to live in Iisan.

그랬죠. 최근에 회사 가까운 곳으로 이사했어요. 출퇴근 시간이 기니 피곤하더라고요.

I did. I moved closer to my work recently. The long commute was tiring.

-> my company는 내가 사장인 것, my office는 책상 있는 경우나 일반 근로자

= I live closer to (my) work now.

= I'm living closer to (my) work/office now.

= The long commute is tough/awful/terrible/brutal.

무슨 말씀이신지 알아요. 저는 회사 오는데 한 시간도 더 걸려요. 근데 이사를 하는 것도 쉽지가 않네요.

I know what you mean. It takes me more than an/one hour to get to work, but it's not easy to move either.

휴가를 며칠 정도 쓸 수 있어요?

How many days can you take off?

-> take off 휴가를 내다.

cf) I took the day off. 휴가를 내다.

cf) I have the day off. 오늘 하루 휴가를 냈어.

cf) I had day off.

cf) I have ten days off. 오늘부터 10일 동안 휴가

cf) I get ten days off a year. 1년에 10일 휴가를 받습니다.

= How many days off do you get?

= How many vacation days can you take?

일년에 열흘이요. 좋은건 휴가를 내고 싶을 때 언제든지 그 열흘을 쓸 수 있다는거에요.

Ten days a year. The good thing is that we can use those ten days anytime we want.

와~ 부럽네요. 저희는 8월에만 휴가를 낼 수 있어요.

Oh, I'm jealous. We can only take vacation in August.

= We can use them anytime.

이번 여름에는 어디 다녀오셨어요?

Where did you go this summer?
