-> effected는 첫소리 e가 강세를 받지 못하면 'ㅓ'나 'ㅡ'로 발음된다. 따라서 어펙티브라고 들린다.

우편광고요? 아니요, 그건 시대에 뒤떨어져요. 사람들은 이제 우편물을 거의 열어보지 않아요.

Direct mail? No, it's outdated. People don't even open most of their mail anymore.

= It doesn't work anymore.

 

그럼 돈 낭비일 뿐이겠네요.

Then it's just a waste of money.

그렇죠. 광고를 할 수 있는 다른 방법을 찾아야 해요.

-> What a coincidence. (우연의 일치) 나도 가려던 참이였는데!

= I'll pay. = Let me pay. = (It's) my treat!

-> It's on me.는 약간 이번은 내가 살게. 다음은 네가 사라는 의미로 읽힌다.

난 뜨거운 아메리카노 마실게.

I will have a hot Americano, please.

= I will have one/two serving of 떡볶이. or I will have one 떡볶이/two 떡볶이s.

알겠어. 베이글도 좀 살게.

-> 여기서 get은 산다는 뜻이다.

네, 그랬죠. 죄송합니다. 이렇게 오래 걸릴 줄은 몰랐어요. 월요일에 드려도 될까요?
